The Santo Domingo Group, through its investment arm Valorem, issued an official statement this week denying information circulating about an alleged negotiation to acquire Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF) from Santos.
The rumors gained strength after statements indicating that the Colombian group had presented an investment proposal to transform the historic São Paulo club into SAF.
In response to the news, Valorem confirmed to the press that the rumors are not true. The official statement from Grupo Santo Domingo categorically states that it is not participating in any process related to the purchase of , a decision that applies to both the parent company and all affiliated companies and investment vehicles.
