Seagri's public call for food acquisition strengthens family farming in Sena

The State Department of Agriculture (Seagri) opened a public call for the paid purchase of food from family farming in Sena Madureira, strengthening rural production and guaranteeing income for small producers in the municipality. The initiative is part of the Food Acquisition Program (PAA), in the Purchase with Simultaneous Donation modality, and is carried out without bidding, as provided for in Law No. 14,628/2023 and Decree No. 10,852/2021.

Family farmers with an active National Family Farming Registry (CAF) can participate, respecting the supply limits established in the notice. The selection process prioritizes producers in situations of social vulnerability, women rural workers and members of traditional groups, such as riverside dwellers, indigenous people, quilombolas and settlers, guaranteeing the social nature of the action.

In Sena Madureira, the local Seagri nucleus, led by Adoneyson Campos, works directly to assist farmers, offering guidance on the notice, support in organizing documentation and clarifying doubts during the registration period. The proposal is to facilitate producers’ access to public policies and expand the participation of family farming in the program.

The food purchased will be donated to families and institutions that serve people in vulnerable situations, promoting food security and valuing local production. With the public call, Seagri reinforces its commitment to sustainable rural development and strengthening the economy of Sena Madureira.
