US-EU agreement is very durable, says US Commerce Secretary

O American Secretary of CommerceHoward Lutnick, stated that the trade agreement among the USA ea UE (Unity European) is “very long-lasting” and that the two sides will work as allies and reach a point that is “good for both.” The speech took place in an interview with Fox Businessthis Wednesday (21), at Davos World Economic Forumin Switzerland.

“Greenland is important for the USA and, if it is for the Americans, it should also be for Europe”, he said, adding that Davos will be the stage for “many conversations”.

Lutnick also mentioned the importance of manufacturing chips and semiconductors in the US as a form of protection and reported that the administration will invest US$ 1 trillion in semiconductors, without providing further details. “We are going to bring jobs back home,” he added, saying that this is a “focus” of the government.

Regarding the discussion about tariffs that is taking place in the Supreme Court, he argued that the administration will win the case. As for the Fed (Federal Reserve), Lutnick stated that American growth of 6% is possible if the BC reduces interest rates. He also mentioned that the Americans are carrying out a study on drones and robots from China.
