Is Ascacíbar going to Grêmio?

Despite the interest, there is still no official proposal presented. According to journalist Eduardo Gabardo, Grêmio analyzes other names on the market and has a defined goal of hiring a midfielder by the end of January. Ascacíbar remains under internal evaluation before making any progress in the talks.

The midfielder only has a contract with Estudiantes until the middle of 2026 and is already free to sign a pre-contract with any other team. This scenario could facilitate negotiations, if the Argentine club decides to bring forward the exit.
