We associate carnival most with . However, you need to spend some time to prepare them. In turn, cheese cakes are created in the blink of an eye and disappear from the plate at the same pace. Both children and adults love them. They are an ideal option for unexpected guests.
Cheese rolls are quick and easy to prepare, but you need to remember a few rules so that they don’t turn out hard and greasy. Which ones are we talking about?
First of all, don’t overdo it with the amount of flour. We use exactly the amount specified in the recipe. What’s more, do not sprinkle it generously on the countertop, because the dough will become hard.
We cannot knead the dough for too longbecause the cookies will turn out rubbery. Knead the dough only until the ingredients are combined.
We make cheese rolls from cottage cheese and do not replace it with cheese from a bucket. Such ready-made cheeses are thinner and therefore we would have to add more flour.
Fry the cookies in well-heated oil. If the fat is cold, the donuts will be soaked in it, and if the fat is too hot, they will come out raw inside.
The oil temperature should be 175 degrees. We can easily check this by immersing one doughnut in fat. If it flows out, it is well heated.
Ingredients:
- 500 ml of oil for frying;
- 250 g of white fatty cheese;
- 250 g of wheat flour;
- 50 g of sugar;
- 1 egg;
- 1 yolk;
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar;
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
Preparation:
To make cheese dumplings, first add the egg and yolk to a bowladd regular sugar and vanilla and beat everything with a whisk.
In the next step, add vinegar and cottage cheese to the bowl and mix briefly. In a separate bowl, combine wheat flour and baking soda, then add them to the wet ingredients.
Knead everything for a while to create an elastic mass. If it becomes sticky, you can add a little flour.
Place the prepared dough on a lightly floured countertop roll out into a 1 cm thick cake. Then we cut out circles with a glass and make a hole in each of them with the glass. Knead the mass remaining after cutting out the circles again and repeat the entire process.
Then we heat the oil and try frying with one doughnut. When the fat is properly heated, fry the remaining cookies in batches until they are golden brown on both sides. Don’t do this for too long or they will get tough.
Place the fried cheese rings on a plate lined with a paper towel. Finally, when they cool down, we recommend dusting them with powdered sugar.
