Air carrier Wizz Air will increase the frequency of Bratislava – Košice flights from nine to 13 per week due to high demand. The change will begin on March 21 of this year. It will thus fly twice a day on the domestic route, with the exception of Wednesdays, when there is only one rotation of flights. The spokeswoman for Bratislava Airport (BTS), Veronika Demovičová, informed about this on Thursday.
“We are pleased that we can further strengthen the air connection on the route Bratislava – Košice. The demand for this line has already exceeded our expectations. By increasing the frequency of flights, we are responding to the growing interest of passengers,” stated Wizz Air Corporate Communications Manager Vera Jardan.
Currently, the carrier from Slovakia offers a total of 35 routes to 34 destinations in 22 countries. In 2025, it operated more than 2,000 flights to and from Slovakia, transporting almost half a million passengers and achieving a flight completion rate of 99.78%.
