Midfielder Casemiro is leaving Manchester United. The 33-year-old midfielder announced this Thursday (22) that he will leave the English club at the end of the season, ending his cycle with the red team. “Knowing when the stages come to an end. Knowing when to say goodbye, when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever. Four months to give my all for this shield and for our goal”, says part of the post that the athlete made on social media.

At the club since 2022, the midfielder took advantage of the message released to express the identification he had with the association during this period. “Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans. Forever a Red Devil”, he concluded in his message.

With the United shirt, Casemiro won the 2022/2023 English League Cup, including scoring the title goal, and the 2023/2024 FA Cup. During his time at the club, he made 146 appearances and scored 21 goals.

In an interview with the official website, he praised the fact that he has worn United’s red shirt so many times and guaranteed that he will remain committed until the last days of his contract.

“From the first day I stepped into this beautiful stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share. It’s not time to say goodbye yet. We have a lot to fight for together. My focus will continue to be, as always, on giving my all to help our club succeed,” said the athlete.
