Day laborer Alberir Castro Afonso, 61 years old, suffered an electric shock and fell from a ladder approximately 4 meters high while performing a job, this Thursday morning (22), in Ramal do Gurgel, Amapá region, in the Second District of Rio Branco.
According to information from witnesses, Alberir was cutting branches from a tree in a residence when part of the vegetation fell onto the power grid. The live wires ended up touching the iron stairs where he was, causing an electrical discharge.

Frightened by the shock, the worker lost his balance and fell down the stairs. In the fall, he suffered injuries to his spine and remained on the ground until help arrived.
Residents called the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which sent an advanced support ambulance. After the first care and completion of the necessary protocols, Alberir was taken to the Rio Branco Emergency Room in a stable state of health.
