Melbourne – Julia Grabher was eliminated in the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne. The 29-year-old from Vorarlberg had to admit defeat to number 31 seeded Russian Anna Kalinskaja after 73 minutes on Thursday, 3:6,3:6. She missed her first entry into the third round of a major tennis tournament. Grabher had overcome the opening hurdle for the second time after the French Open 2023.
