At 65 years old, Judite Sousa presents herself as a communicator and writer from this Thursday: “my life is open to all professional areas”.
The journalist Judith Sousa announced this Thursday the end of his connection to journalism, having already handed over the professional card that gave him that title.
“Today I formalized the end of my professional life as a journalist”, announced Judite Sousa on her Instagram page, in a post in which she denounces the “media harassment” of the last decade, after , André Sousa Bessa, in 2014.
“I handed in my professional card. This means that I’m no longer a journalist. Which also means that the media ‘harassment’, mainly evident in the last 10 years, regarding everything and nothing, comes to an end”, she wrote, announcing that she is now presenting herself as a communicator and a writer.
“In changing my profile on my networks, I present myself as a communicator and as a writer since I have 11 books published and the next one is coming to the market soon. Therefore, my life is ‘open’ to all professional areas without the corset of the journalism code of ethics”, she congratulates herself: “It’s a new world that I face with total freedom”.
At the end of 47 years of careerJudite Sousa, now 65 years old, began her career in 1979 and became one of the most recognized faces of television information in Portugal. In RTPheld editorial management roles, having been deputy director of information for two decades. Later, he held the same position at TVIbetween 2011 and 2019. In 2022, he joined the information team at CNN Portugalwhich she left in a context that generated controversy — at the time, the journalist claimed to have covered the war in Ukraine without a contract or health insurance, a dispute that would end up being ended with an agreement between the parties.
