Premiering on June 4th, the film should get a full trailer this Thursday (22nd)
The character’s new live action film which takes the name “Masters of the Universe”, received its first official teaser this Wednesday (21), which confirms the release of the full trailer for tomorrow (22). The protagonist will be played by Nicholas Galitzine, Prince Adam, who, when wielding the sword, invokes the power of Grayskull and becomes the superhero He-Man.
The film also features Camila Mendes as Teela, Morena Baccarin as the Enchantress, Idris Elba as Mentor, Allison Bri as Maligna and Jared Leto, who will play the villain Skeletor. Charlotte Riley plays Queen Marlena and James Purefoy plays King Randor, as well as Sam C. Wilson as Jaw and Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man. According to the synopsis, in “Masters of the Universe”, Prince Adam needs to save the kingdom of Eternia from the antics of the villain Skeletor and his army. After recovering his sword after 20 years, in order to protect everyone he loves, the heir to the throne must first uncover his past.
The story of He-Man began with the launch of the famous blond doll within the “Masters of the Universe” line from in 1981, even before the cartoon debuted in 1983, which was launched at the time to boost toy sales. A 1987 film about Prince Adam’s powers already exists, starring Dolph Lundgren at the time, who will have a surprise role in the new film.
“Masters of the Universe” is directed by Travis Knight, written by Chris Butler and opens on June 4th in Brazilian cinemas.
