Real Madrid achieves record revenue of R$7.25 billion – 01/22/2026 – Sports

With a record revenue of €1.161 billion (US$1.36 billion; R$7.25 billion) generated during the 2024/25 season, Real Madrid remains at the top of the “Football Money League” ranking, published this Thursday (22) by consultancy Deloitte, being the only club to exceed €1 billion (R$6.2 billion) in revenue.

Barcelona, sixth place last year, returns to the podium (2nd place) for the first time since the 2019/20 season, with €974 million (US$1.14 billion; R$6.1 billion), and Bayern Munich occupies third place, with more than €860 million (US$1.007 billion; R$5.4 billion).

Off the podium was PSG (Paris Saint-Germain), which dropped one position compared to last year, with €837 million (US$980 million; R$5.2 billion).

For the first time since 2020/21, PSG is the only French club in the Top 20 rankings (last year, Marseille and Lyon were included), largely due to the television rights crisis in France.

Liverpool is, for the first time, the English club with the highest revenue (€836 million; US$979 million; R$5.2 billion)) and rises from eighth to fifth place.

In 2026, the top 20 clubs in the “Football Money League” declared accumulated revenues of €12.4 billion (US$14.52 billion; R$77.5 billion), a record and an increase of 11% compared to the 2023/24 season.

The Deloitte study is based on three sources of revenue to establish its ranking: box office, television rights and commercial revenue.

For the third consecutive year, commercial revenue represents the largest portion of club revenue (€5.3 billion (R$33.1 billion) or 43% of the total).

Revenue from television rights, in turn, registered a significant increase of 10%, representing 38% of total revenue.

This increase, explains Deloitte, is mainly due to the broadcast rights to the Club World Cup, the inaugural edition of which was held in the United States in mid-2025.

Clubs participating in the World Cup saw a 17% increase in their revenue related to television rights.

In women’s football, the 15 clubs with the highest revenue generated a total of more than €150 million (€158 million; US$185 million; R$987 million) for the first time.

The women’s ranking is dominated by Champions League champion Arsenal (€25.6 million; R$160 million), with a 43% increase in revenue compared to the previous season, ahead of Chelsea (€25.4 million; R$158.6 million) and Barcelona (€22 million; R$137 million).
