Ingredients:
- 250 g of homogenized vanilla cheese,
- 200 g of wheat flour,
- 2 eggs,
- a spoon of powdered sugar,
- a teaspoon of baking powder,
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt,
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Additionally:
- frying oil,
- powdered sugar for sprinkling.
How to do it:
1. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and powdered sugar into a bowl. Mix everything with a whisk.
2. In a separate bowl, combine the homogenized cheese with vanilla extract and eggs. Then combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing them with a wooden spoon until just combined. The result should be a smooth dough with a slightly loose consistency.
3. Pour a large amount of oil into a wide pot and heat it to 170 degrees Celsius. When hot, reduce the heat to medium.
4. Lightly grease your hands and the spoon. Take a spoonful of the mixture and form it gently in your hands until you obtain balls slightly larger than a walnut. Immediately put them in the heated oil.
5. Fry the vanilla cream cheese donuts until golden brown for a few minutes, turning them halfway through.
6. Remove the fried donuts with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels. Once they have cooled down, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
7. Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container and use within 2 days.
