Republican is the 1st president of the body and is authorized to veto any decision taken by the newly created group
The president of the United States, (Republican Party), will be the only authority with veto power in the Peace Council, whose creation was formalized by the North American this Thursday (22 January 2026), in Davos, Switzerland.
There are only two mentions of “veto” in:
- decisions of the Executive Council – what is decided by a majority in the Executive Council has immediate effect, but is subject to the president’s veto at any time. In the event of a tie, the head of the body is responsible for breaking the vote;
- departure of members of the Peace Council – the president can expel a country from the group, but this decision is subject to the body’s veto – it is necessary, however, that 2/3 of the members vote against.
Trump is the . This is determined in the document.
Trump’s mandate is practically lifetime. The president of the Peace Council can nominate a successor and only leaves the position if he decides to resign voluntarily or in case of incapacity – in this scenario, the vote of the Executive Council must be unanimous, that is, all members must vote in favor of removing the republican.
