Trump on Greenland: “We won’t have to pay for anything” other than the Golden Dome

US President Donald Trump backed away from threats to annex Greenland by force this week. On Wednesday (21), he announced a “structure” for an agreement on the island.

Asked this Thursday (22) how much he would be willing to pay for the semi-autonomous territory, he added: “We will not have to pay anything other than the cost of building the Golden Dome.”

The Golden Dome belongs to Israel, which it wants to build for the United States.

Trump said any deal would allow “full access” to Greenland, including for the military: “We’re getting everything we want at no cost.”

In any case, he highlighted during an interview with Fox Business Network this Thursday that the details are still being negotiated.

“It’s really being negotiated now, the details. . There’s no end, there’s no deadline,” Trump said on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
