A video sent to our newsroom shows the critical situation of the Xiburema road, the main access road to the Eugênio Areal neighborhood, in Sena Madureira. The images, recorded in a section close to the roundabout, reveal the road to be practically impassable, filled with holes and large puddles of water, transforming the route into a real challenge for drivers and pedestrians.

In addition to making traffic difficult, holes hidden by water significantly increase the risk of accidents, damage to vehicles and falls for motorcyclists, who are the most vulnerable in these conditions. Residents report that the situation has been going on for months and that, despite requests for action, no effective action has been taken so far.
Concern grows even more with the start of the Amazon winter. As rainfall increases, the tendency is for the holes to deepen and new critical points to emerge, worsening the problem even further.
Another factor that draws attention is the absence of city hall teams carrying out maintenance or road repair services. Meanwhile, those who need to travel through Xiburema continue to live with losses, insecurity and the feeling of abandonment.
The situation reignites the debate about the need for a continuous maintenance plan for the streets of Sena Madureira, especially during rainy periods, when the urban infrastructure is put to the test. Until measures are taken, the Xiburema road remains a symbol of a problem that affects not just one neighborhood, but the mobility and quality of life of the entire population.
