A serious traffic accident recorded in the early hours of this Friday morning (23) resulted in the death of a young motorcyclist in Rio Branco. The incident was recorded near the roundabout that gives access to Arena da Floresta, on Avenida Amadeu Barbosa.

The victim was identified as Paulo Henrique Soares da Silva, aged 21, and was driving a Factor 150 model motorcycle when, for reasons still unknown, he lost control of the vehicle and collided with the central reservation of the roundabout. Due to the impact, the young man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, but upon arrival it was found that the motorcyclist already had no vital signs. Teams from the Military Police Traffic Battalion were in the area to isolate the section and ensure the location’s safety.
Civil Police expertise was also called in to carry out the necessary procedures and investigate the circumstances of the accident. After the completion of the expert work, the body was sent to legal proceedings.
The motorcycle was completely destroyed as a result of the collision. The causes of the accident will be investigated by the competent authorities.
