On Friday morning, a truck collided with a bus on the main road near Pereš in the direction of the center of Košice. There were no injuries in the accident. However, the truck driver blew 0.37 percent of alcohol. Košice regional police spokeswoman Jana Illésová confirmed this for TASR.

“According to the findings so far, the driver of the truck probably did not give way to the driver of the bus when passing from the connecting lane to the continuous lane, as a result of which the vehicle collided,” she specified.
After the result of the breathalyzer test, the truck driver was banned from further driving and his driver’s license was confiscated. “The administrative body will decide when he will drive again,” added Illésová. The collision caused queues, the road is now fully passable.
