Presenter César Filho moved the SBT audience on Thursday night (22/1) after announcing that he will become a grandfather for the first time. The journalist, when saying goodbye to another edition of “SBT Brasil”, revealed that his daughter, Luma, is pregnant. He took the opportunity to give a brief speech about the family’s new moment.
“I always tried to be a good son. So much so that I make that clear in my name: César Filho. Later, I became César father. I also always tried to be a good father. Now I will also be César grandfather, because my daughter Luma announced that she is pregnant with her first child with Edward Beccle. As my dear friend José Roberto Trinca said: children are the rainbow, and grandchildren are the pot of gold. So be it.”

In a video on social media, the journalist told how he reacted to the news. He said he was suspicious when his daughter presented his wife, Elaine Mickely, with a box: “I was like: ‘Here’s something. Something different comes’. And then, it’s said and done, right?” “It didn’t cross my mind when she came to announce it to us when she found out. When she was sure, she came [contar]. I was in shock. I’m in shock because we have no idea. It’s been a long time since I picked up a little baby to call my own,” she added.
The announcement of the pregnancy on social media came hours before, in a post by the couple themselves. Luma and Ed shared a photoshoot on a beach showing the ultrasound image: “1 + 1 = 3. Our most exciting and magical chapter yet! Baby Beccle is on the way. Thank you Jesus!”
