Geneva – After the fire disaster at a New Year’s Eve party in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana, the operator of the bar was released from custody after paying bail. As the responsible court in the Swiss canton of Valais announced on Friday, the pre-trial detention of bar operator Jacques Moretti was lifted against payment of 200,000 Swiss francs (around 215,000 euros). Substitute measures were imposed on Moretti to counteract an existing risk of escape.
