The governor of São Paulo, received authorization from the minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes this Thursday (22) to visit former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) next Thursday (29).
The visit was initially scheduled for this Thursday, but Tarcísio claimed to have an appointment in São Paulo. Despite this, allies report an upset between the governor of São Paulo and the former boss and the political wing of the Bolsonaro family.
Tarcísio’s conversation with Bolsonaro will be the first since the elder, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), to contest the elections against Lula (PT). This occurred in September, when the former president was still under house arrest.
Bolsonaro was also authorized to receive senator Rogério Marinho (PL-RN), coordinator of Flávio’s presidential campaign. The meeting should take place on February 4th. The first visit authorized by Moraes, however, was that of the minister of the TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União do Brasil) Jorge Oliveira, on January 28th.

Allies report that Tarcísio did not go to visit Bolsonaro this Thursday because the governor knew he would take a picture of his former boss, whose former Minister of Infrastructure. The previous week, there was friction in the group when former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro shared a video of Tarcísio in the tone of a pre-presidential candidate. Allies indicate that Tarcísio’s tendency is to increasingly separate himself from his former boss’s family, even if he runs for re-election in São Paulo.

Leaders claim that there was an expectation that the governor’s candidacy would be announced by the former boss on December 10, but a muffled operation led to the announcement of Flávio’s candidacy days earlier.
