The actress Amy Madigan75, received his second nomination atthe Oscar for Best Supporting Actress of his career for his most recent work in “A Hora do Mal” (2025). With a gap of more than 40 years between her nominations, she now holds the record gap between nominations for an actress.
In an interview with Gold Derby, the actress made a comparison between the moment in her career between the first and second nominations. “I have a great team that presents me with options, which wasn’t the case when I did this 40 years ago. So it’s a different way to navigate this maze.”
The appointment came on a homely morning for Madigan, who received the news accompanied by her Jack Russell terrier, Woody. “It’s an incredible feeling, to be honest, because I didn’t expectbut I continued to love it very much. I love acting and I hope to continue to do this.”
For her, life is the result of the people who have been around her throughout her life. “It’s the friends who have supported me throughout my long career. And I emphasize the word long because I’ve been doing this for a long time. None of this means anything if I don’t have my husband, my daughter and my friends taking this journey with me.”
