PT-SP seeks ticket with 4 Lula ministers against Tarcísio – 01/23/2026 – Panel

The one in São Paulo carried out an internal survey in December which showed that the best way to defeat governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) in the October election is to unite four government ministers on the same ticket.

They are Fernando Haddad (Finance), Marina Silva (Environment) and Geraldo Alckmin (Development and Vice President of the Republic). Everyone would have to resign from the mysteries they occupy by the beginning of April (Alckmin could remain vice-president).

The party’s objective is for them to occupy the vacancies of candidates for governor, vice president and two senators in dispute.

The exact composition would still depend on PT negotiations with allied parties and party migrations. Simone, for example, would have to leave MDB, while Marina is leaving Rede.

Hadadd and Alckmin resist running for office.

“This is a configuration that is capable of bothering a lot of people in the opposing camp”, says the president of the PT state directory, Kiko Celeguim, who commissioned the research.

The data cannot be disclosed, as it was not a survey registered with the Electoral Court.

According to Celeguim, the survey shows Tarcísio’s vulnerabilities in the election, if he actually runs for a new term for Palácio dos Bandeirantes.

“The data shows a lack of identity in the Tarcísio government’s brands. He is basically identified by his Bolsonarism”, says the PT leader. “This explains why he loses the support of the former president, he melts”, he states.

The PT also sees vulnerabilities in Tarcísio’s administration, which can be exploited in the campaign, such as complaints about the installation of free flow tolls on highways and increases in cell phone theft and cases of femicide.
