The complaint was filed on behalf of two former domestic workers who worked at the artist’s residences in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.
The decision to close the case is justified by the lack of jurisdiction of the Spanish courts: “The Audiencia Nacional, following the criteria defined by our highest court, has repeatedly interpreted that Spain is not competent to investigate crimes committed abroad when there are no relevant links with our country.”
