The governor (Republicans) changed this Thursday (22) the head of the Civil House of , Arthur Lima, responsible for the government’s political articulation. The change occurs amid the crisis created with Bolsonarists after the governor canceled his visit to (PL) in prison.
Lima goes to the Department of Justice and, to the Civil House, Tarcísio called the state president of the Republicans, Roberto Carneiro.
Tarcísio caused surprise among allies this Thursday, after canceling his visit to the former president, claiming that he had other commitments. The meeting with Bolsonaro was rescheduled for the 29th.
A childhood friend of the governor and considered his right-hand man, Lima accumulated criticism from allies and mayors from the interior for, according to the Sheet published this week.
The cancellation of the visit fueled speculation that Tarcísio intends to run for President. Despite this, the governor’s allies spent the day reinforcing to journalists, in behind-the-scenes conversations, that he will run for re-election in São Paulo. Bolsonaro has already indicated his son (PL) as his name for the Palácio do Planalto.
Roberto Carneiro is close to the national president of the Republicans, Marcos Pereira, and has a good relationship with the president of the , , Secretary of Government and another person responsible for Tarcísio’s political articulation.
At the end of last year, Kassab said he would leave the government to coordinate his party’s election and suggested Carneiro for the position. The governor’s assistants, however, claim that Tarcísio indicated that, if the secretary left his role, he would choose his replacement himself.
Carneiro is from Espírito Santo and coordinated the Civil House of Paulo Hartung, former governor of Espírito Santo and recently affiliated with Kassab’s PSD.
