Tarcísio makes changes in the government and appoints president of the Republicans to the Civil House

Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) announced changes in the government this Thursday (22). He changed positions to Arthur Lima, who no longer heads the Civil House to head the Secretariat of Justice. The new head of the Civil House will be the state president of the Republicans, Roberto Carneiro. The government informed, through a note, that the change is valid from this Friday (23).

“Lima has headed the State Civil House since the beginning of his administration, in January 2023, and will hand over the position to Roberto Carneiro. Lima is a lawyer, with a degree from UnB (University of Brasília), and a bachelor’s degree in military sciences from Aman (Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras), while Carneiro has a postgraduate degree in management and entrepreneurship from PUC-RS, was secretary of the Civil House of Espírito Santo and general director of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Espírito Santo. State, as well as Secretary of the Government of Vitória”, said the management, in a statement this evening.

Arthur Lima is considered Tarcísio’s right-hand man and has been in government since the first day of his term, but is considering running for federal deputy. He is close to Gilberto Kassab (PSD), who left the Government and Institutional Relations secretariat in December. To GLOBO, Lima said it was a mutually agreed decision.

Visit to Bolsonaro

The exchanges take place amid tensions over the cancellation of Tarcísio’s visit to former president Jair Bolsonaro, in Papudinha, this Thursday. The meeting was confirmed by the governor on Tuesday (20), but was canceled hours later on the grounds that he already had commitments in São Paulo.

This Thursday, however, the governor only made internal dispatches at Palácio dos Bandeirantes and did not receive interlocutors. To GLOBO, advisors gave the justification that Tarcísio is “preserving himself” and “taking care of the kitchen”.

The visit was rescheduled for next week and made official through a post on social media in which Tarcísio also said that he will once again run for state government.

Continues after advertising

“I am a candidate for reelection for the government of the state of São Paulo and I will always work for a united and strong right to remove the left from power. Any information other than this is nothing more than speculation. I will visit President Bolsonaro, to whom I am and will be grateful and loyal, next Thursday to provide my full support and solidarity”, wrote the governor.
