Trump is suing major bank JPMorgan over account closures

Washington / New York – Donald Trump is demanding at least five billion dollars from the major bank JPMorgan Chase because it closed the current president’s accounts in 2021 after his supporters stormed the US Capitol. Trump’s lawyers argue the move was politically motivated. The bank rejected the allegations: Accounts were closed if they posed a legal or regulatory risk – but not for political or religious reasons.
