The agreement has already been made official by both teams. On social media, Verdão published a farewell message to the Uruguayan striker, who remained in the squad for just one season. Facundo signed a contract with the North American team until the end of 2030, with a renewal clause for another year.
Signed in 2025 from Orlando City for approximately R$70 million, the player had plenty of space, but was unable to establish himself.

Facundo Torres: numbers for Palmeiras
In total, he played 61 games, scored ten goals and provided four assists. In 2026, he did not even take the field due to an injury to his left thigh suffered during the pre-season.
Although coach Abel Ferreira expressed his desire to keep the athlete in the squad at the end of last year, the board assessed the proposal as a good opportunity to reinforce the cash flow and reduce the salary bill. With the departure of Facundo Torres, Palmeiras starts working internally with the idea of investing in a big name for the offensive sector.
Good luck and success in the next challenges, Facu! 👊➤ https://t.co/YXMekD6VVh pic.twitter.com/tZTkvwPseJ
