He has already been the target of three other cases for the same crime, in two he was acquitted and one is still awaiting decision
The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) upheld the rape conviction of former BBB member Felipe Prior. The information that was only shared today (23) is from the decision of Minister Reynaldo Soares da Fonseca on December 19th, and can still be appealed. He was sentenced in July 2023 to 6 years in prison, but in 2024 a second instance decision increased the sentence to 8 years in a semi-open regime.
The crime in question occurred in August 2014, when Prior gave the victim and a colleague a ride to the North Zone of São Paulo, as he used to do, after a university party. According to information from the first instance decision, after leaving his colleague at home, on the way to the victim’s residence, he allegedly made advances, took her to the back seat of the car and raped her while she was drunk.
This is not the only rape conviction process in which Felipe Prior is involved, in total there are four:
- two for which he has already been acquitted – one in 2018 and the other in 2025;
- one that is still awaiting a decision – about a case also at a university party in 2018;
- and the last one, which has already been convicted – a case from 2014.
According to information from the STJ to Jovem Pan, “the case is being processed at the STJ under judicial secrecy” and, for this reason, they cannot yet provide further details about the case. Felipe Prior’s advice was also sought but we received no response.
