The minister’s number two in Public Security, lawyer Manoel Carlos de Almeida, temporarily headed the department from January 9th to 14th, but the short period was enough for him to earn a photo in the gallery of former ministers.
The photo with the mentioned period was included in a gallery located on the fourth floor of the ministry, where the minister’s office is located.
Although the department considers that he left on January 14th, the appointment of the new holder, Wellington Lima e Silva, took place the day before in the Official Gazette.
He is not the only interim member in the space. Milton Seligman, who held the position from April 7 to May 25, 1997 (48 days, therefore), also received the honor.
Manoel Carlos de Almeida was Lewandowski’s number 2, who left the position after wear and tear within the government and with Congress. During the administration of the former minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), he held the position on an interim basis when the minister traveled.

Manoel Carlos de Almeida’s interlocutors say that he did not know about the honor, but that he would have been happy with this possibility due to the two years of work he had done in the department.
