The president of the Italian council of ministers, Giorgia Meloni, celebrated this Friday (23) “the work carried out to make the agreement more balanced” between the European Union and Mercosur. At a press conference in Rome with German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the Italian Prime Minister said that “we believed that there were imbalances in relation to agriculture”.
He said: “We have worked tirelessly and achieved some very important solutions to secure and defend a fundamental asset for the EU. At this point, for us, it is balanced and we have given the green light.”
