Meanwhile, the federal deputy (PL-MG) counts on the protection of police forces and the support of employees from his office to eat and alleviate the physical consequences of the journey. The parliamentarian walked around 160 km until this Friday (23) and claims to have made no prior preparation.

Nikolas left last Monday (19) from the city of Paracatu, in Minas Gerais, towards the federal capital. He organized the march as a protest against the conviction of (PL) supporters by the (Supreme Federal Court) in the investigation into the attempted coup d’état.

On the morning walk route, accompanied by Sheet, One of Nikolas’ advisors stood next to the deputy with a bottle of isotonic drink and a body cream.

During stops, according to an advisor and videos, the deputy takes off his shoes, puts his feet on ice and applies an ointment used to relieve muscle pain.

Although there are supporters offering food along the way, the protective cordon that has formed around the deputy does not allow him to stop. The office’s advisors fear that among the supporters there are infiltrators who could attack the deputy.

Together, the Military Police of Goiás, the Legislative Police and the Federal Highway Police accompanied the walk that started this Friday in the rain, at 8:30 am, from the town of São Bartolomeu, in Cristalina, to Luziânia, in Goiás. The Fire Department also participated in the action, but with a special focus on the narrowest part of the route, known for recording accidents.

Supporters who want to speak or take photos with the deputy during the demonstration have little time, as the security cordon tries to control the movement of people and asks them to leave immediately after contact.

Nikolas Ferreira and says he didn’t plan the stops to eat and the spots to sleep. “The logistics were done instantly. We left Paracatu and put it on Google Maps so we could see how many kilometers were left to get to Brasília, and then every 30 or 40 kilometers we tried to see if there were any houses”, he told Sheet. He spent the night from Wednesday to Thursday on a farm in Cristalina.

This Friday, one of the group’s lunch stops was organized near a gas station on the Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek highway with the support of Goiânia councilor Igor Franco (MDB-GO).

Nikolas plans to arrive on Sunday (25) at Praça do Cruzeiro in Brasília, where he will demonstrate against the coup convictions. The deputy does not know whether the movement will be joined by other Bolsonaro figures, such as First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro.

Deputies André Fernandes (PL-CE), Coronel Zucco (PL-RS) and Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO) have accompanied the parliamentarian on the journey, in addition to senator Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES).

On Tuesday, the deputy’s proposal. Carlos Bolsonaro, pre-candidate for the Senate for Santa Catarina, personally participated in the demonstration that day.
