The leader of the Hungarian non-parliamentary opposition party TISZA responsible for foreign policy is Anita Orbánová. In a post on the Facebook network, the chairman of the TISZA party, Péter Magyar, announced this on Saturday, the TASR correspondent in Budapest reports.

Orbánová was special between 2010 and 2015 ambassador of Hungary for energy security and the last five years she was working in the telecommunications company Vodafone in high positions in Budapest and London.

“The second major nomination of the year, the leader of foreign affairs of the TISZA party and the new face of Hungarian diplomacy: Dr. Anita Orbánová. Anita Orbánová is an experienced diplomat and the highest-ranking Hungarian in the international business world.” wrote Hungarian and added that Orbán had returned home from a top management position in London.

She is the first Hungarian woman to receive a doctorate from the oldest diplomatic academy in the US, the Fletcher School in Boston, Magyar noted. He pointed out that he is the only Hungarian diplomat who, after leaving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also reached the top of business life.

According to Magyar on Friday, Orbán’s mission will be “restoration of real Hungarian sovereignty”. “I am honored that one by one the most famous professionals of the country are joining the upcoming regime change (of the government, note TASR),” underlined the chairman of the TISZA party.

In an interview with Magyar published later on Facebook Orbánová among other things, she said that the ideal Hungarian foreign policy is to “belong to the West”, that Hungarian sovereignty can be strengthened even through the EU. “Therefore, the ‘seesaw’ policy must end, and the primary task will be to settle the thousand-year-old Polish-Hungarian friendship. In this context, it will be necessary to strengthen the cooperation of the Vyšehrad Four and build good neighborly relations.” added.

Orbánová also said that Hungary is currently representing Russian interests in the Ukrainian war, which must change. In connection with Beneš’s decrees, she stated that one of the most important tasks of the first 100 days will be negotiations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic on securing the rights of Hungarians living in Slovakia.

This week, Magyar entrusted István Kapitány with the role of leader for economic development and energy of the party. As vice president of Shell, he was among the global economic elite, has an extensive network of contacts and serious management experience. However, he does not have a political career behind him, writes the server szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu.
