São Paulo promotes “D-Day” for vaccination against measles and yellow fever

A SES-SP (São Paulo State Department of Health) this Saturday (24) the “D-Day” vaccination against measles ea yellow fever in all UBSs (Basic Health Units) of the capital of São Paulo.

To facilitate access to immunization, the service will also be available at subway and train stations, bus terminals and shopping centers in the city.

At UBSs, opening hours will be from 8am to 5pm. The other vaccines on the calendar will also be made available.

Already in AMAs (Ambulatory Medical Assistance) e Integrated UBSsservice on Saturdays is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Furthermore, the CEUs (Unified Educational Centers) will also offer vaccines, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Who should get vaccinated?

Measles

  • Children: first dose (triple viral) at one year and second dose (tetra viral) at one year and three months;
  • People aged 5 to 29: two doses with a minimum interval of 30 days;
  • People aged 30 to 59: one dose;
  • Health workers: two doses of MMR, regardless of age.

Yellow fever

  • Children: one dose at 9 months of age and a booster dose at 4 years of age;
  • People who received only one dose before age 5: a booster dose;
  • People aged 5 to 59 who have not yet been vaccinated: one dose.
