Oil is being refined in “several places” including Houston, US president says
The United States has removed the oil that was in seized Venezuelan tankers and will process it in North American refineries, said US President Donald Trump in an interview with the New York Post published this Saturday.
“Let’s put it this way: They don’t have the oil. We get the oil,” Trump told the newspaper.
Oil is being refined in “several places,” including Houston, he said.
The US military has seized seven tankers linked to Venezuela since the start of Trump’s month-long campaign to control oil flows from the South American country.
Trump said on Tuesday that his administration had withdrawn 50 million barrels of oil from Venezuela and was selling some of it on the open market.
