The interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez said this Friday that 626 people have been released from prison to date. She stated that this is an ongoing process, without specifying the schedule for these releases.
Venezuelan human rights group Foro Penal confirmed the release of 154 political prisoners in Venezuela since January 8.
Rodríguez announced that, on Monday, he will have a conversation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, to ask that the UN check the lists of those released so far in the country.
