Brazilian Will Santana, 37, surfed this Saturday (24) a wave of approximately 20 meters generated by the passage of storm Ingrid through Nazaré, in Portugal. He is a specialist in this type of wave.
Santana shared the feat on Instagram. “Storm Ingrid in Europe. Strong winds. Surfing at the limit,” he wrote in the post.
With strong winds and intense rain, Ingrid has raised alerts and caused problems in countries such as Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, France and Portugal. In the latter, at least one person has already died, according to local media.
In February last year, Santana and fellow Brazilian Daniel Rangel were “swallowed” by a giant wave in Nazaré and were rescued by colleagues. At the time, storm Hermínia was passing through Portugal.
In December, Santana himself participated in rescuing Carlos Burle and Lucas Chumbo from a similar situation.
