The interview comes after the release of new images of the death of Alex Pretti, killed by ICE agents, on Saturday.
Pedro dos Santos, professor of International Relations at the University of St. John’s, Minnesota, describes, in an interview with SIC, the “noisy” reaction of North American citizens to the recent deaths caused by ICE. The teacher is part of patrol groups that monitor the presence of this police force on the streets, checking license plates and filming operations.
Pedro dos Santos explains that the reaction of the North American people to the recent ICE killings have been “noisy.”

In an interview with SIC, he explains how the operation works, which already covers several states:
“Some people stay at home and coordinate online with other groups to find out who is where, checking license plates to see if they are ICE agents. Other people are on the street, like the Loans who was murdered, filming and showing what is happening. (…) Within these groups there are also people who bring food to those who cannot leave their homes for fear of immigration.”
As a Brazilian naturalized North American, Pedro dos Santos says he is currently privileged, which is why he decided provide assistance to those who are not in your situation.
