Chocolate cherry cake is being baked in the kitchen and the coffee machine is being started behind the counter. It’s just before 2 p.m. before the first guests arrive. The opening hours have been extended since the new year. Because the guests are running into the place, as Nicolas Alter explains. As soon as the doors open, the tables are full. It’s been this way since Café Schäffin opened in November.
