After being arrested for running over a 20-year-old young man in the early hours of Saturday (24) in Barueri, Greater São Paulo, funk artist MC Tuto received public support from MC Ryan SP.
In a post on Instagram stories, Ryan SP, who has more than 15 million followers on this social network, defended his colleague. “Tuto is not a bad guy, he would never be so mean as to run over someone.”
The singer involved in the accident, whose name is Emerson Teixeira Muniz, is the owner of the hit “Barbie”, which was released in 2025.
The accident occurred near Feirinha de Barueri, where MC Tuto. At the end of filming, the singer was driving a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS when he hit the victim, who was rescued in serious condition with fractures to both legs, ribs and cracks in the skull.
In defense of Tuto, MC Ryan SP highlighted his colleague’s qualities. “He is a pure, humble person and always helps others. Unfortunately, the fatality happened, but it could have happened to any of us”, wrote Ryan SP in stories.
The funk singer also said that the victim is also a young man with “dreams and goals” and wished both of them well. “Perhaps [a vítima] I could even be his fan [MC Tuto].”
Investigation underway
According to the police report, MC Tuto told the GCM (Municipal Civil Guard) that he was not speeding at the time of the accident, claiming to be traveling at approximately 30 km/h.
However, the analysis of the facts showed that the funk player was traveling at a “speed that was absolutely incompatible with the road”.
Security cameras at the scene show that, at the moment of impact, MC Tuto of the model who accompanied him was in the passenger seat.
The GCM also reported that the place where the singer was driving is restricted to pedestrian circulation, without due authorization from Dermutran (Municipal Traffic Department).
