According to the PM, the garrison was patrolling Rua Cunha Matos, close to the Hotel Vila Rio Branco, when they came across a woman in a state of panic. She reported having just been the victim of a robbery carried out by two men who were on a motorcycle.

Still nearby, the police saw the suspects, who, upon noticing the approach of the vehicle, fled at high speed. Monitoring began, during which the pair crossed the Wanderley Dantas Bridge (Ponte Nova) towards the Dom Giocondo neighborhood.

With the support of vehicles from the 1st and 2nd BPM, the military carried out searches in a wooded area that was difficult to access, where they located a blue Honda Titan 160 motorcycle, with robbery/theft restrictions. The owner recognized the characteristics of the perpetrators as being the same as those involved in the crime that occurred in Gameleira.

The motorcycle used directly in the robbery, a black Yamaha, was found abandoned in the Preventório neighborhood. After consultation, it was found that the vehicle was not restricted and was seized and taken to the Detran yard.

The recovered motorcycle was presented at the 2nd Regional Police Station, in Cidade do Povo, for legal procedures.
