A well-known married couple was among those invited Sisa Lelkes Sklovska with Juraj Lelkes, who spoke for Koktejl.sk with musician Teri Čikoš. Sklovská wore a distinctive yellow dress, on which she had the likeness of her husband depicted in red. Lelkes chose a suit studded with gold patterns, along with a tie with a brooch attached to it. His belt with a gold buckle was also distinctive.
The singing diva admitted that she loves the Reduta building and has sung there countless times. So does her partner. “I also have such an emotional connection to it, because while I was the general director of an insurance company, there were twelve balls of that insurance company in my time. And the people who were invited here always appreciated it, because it was about a great mood, about a great selection of musicians who performed here, groups and so on,” he said.
He didn’t forget the legendary performance either. “And many times my wonderful wife too. And I even remember when the group Boney M played here. Karel Gott sang here, Helena Vondráčková sang here, so there were a plethora of very famous and great musicians, male and female singers at those balls. Here, when the music started, it played until sometimes in the morning, until three o’clock,” Juraj Lelkes recalled.
How does Sisa Sklovska remember it all? “Boney M. was great. I sang with them for the first time in Prague, several times, then at this ball here. They are amazing and that’s just my youth, my childhood. So, when I was listening to them as a child, I would never have thought that I would sing with them one day.” revealed the singer.
