Tragic fall in Oščadnica: Mountain rescuers fought in vain for the life of a 65-year-old man

In Oščadnica in Kysucie a 65-year-old Slovak died on Saturday (January 24) after a fall. She informed about it on the social network Mountain Rescue Service (HZS), which was asked for help from Chata Plemenár. After the fall, the man felt pain in the abdomen and began to lose consciousness.

“After the arrival of HZS rescuers from the Kysuce – Oščadnica Regional Center, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was required. During continuous CPR mountain rescuers transported the patient to Oščadnica – Dedovka, where he was taken into care by the crew of an emergency medical aid and then an emergency medical aid,” described HZS. Despite the efforts of the rescuers the man’s vital functions could not be restored and the doctor pronounced him dead.
