Vienna’s budget deficit for 2025 is probably smaller than recently expected

Vienna – Vienna’s budget deficit for 2025 is likely to be slightly lower than feared. According to initial calculations, it amounts to 2.8 billion euros. This would mean that the deficit of 3.8 billion euros forecast at the beginning of last year would be one billion euros lower, as the office of Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) informed the APA. The final figures are not yet available. This will only be available at the end of the accounts, which is scheduled for June.
