Vienna/Rome – Three of the seven supervisory board members of Italy’s public TV broadcaster RAI are calling on the organizers of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in Vienna to include the topic of Palestine in the event. In a letter they suggested that an artist from Palestinian culture be allowed to perform outside of the competition – as a sign of civil society sensitivity and to promote dialogue.
