Articulation wants to honor Jungmann in anti-faction law – 01/26/2026 – Panel

An initiative led by minister Gilmar Mendes, of the Federal Supreme Court, and the director-president of the Brazilian Public Security Forum, Renato Sérgio de Lima, intends to name the name of former minister Raul Jungmann Jungmann died on January 18 at the age of 73, from cancer.

The former minister also held several other public positions, as holder of the Defense and Agrarian Reform portfolios.

The anti-faction bill was sent by the Lula government and later approved by the Chamber and the Senate. As it was modified by the senators, it was returned to the deputies for consideration, with no vote scheduled yet.
