On the fourth of September, they told us it was a malignant liver tumor.” widow Nikola explained.
At that time, however, the disease was already in the 4th stage. “It was not possible to find out where it originated, even with all the available examinations,” she added. Her husband hid her illness from the world, although everyone noticed that something was going on. But Patrick believed in a miracle almost until the last day.
“He didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him, to tell him about experiences and prognoses. He wanted to fight and believe,” the wife described the difficult struggle. A few weeks before the end, he still has more hope dawned in the form of immunotherapy. “There was a good chance he would help. But it was too late… His body was already exhausted,” she approached a difficult situation. That’s when she understood that the end was slowly approaching, that’s why her loved ones began to say goodbye to the presenter.
The son last saw him the day before he left. “It was terribly hard and painful, but I felt it was the right thing to do,” she said of Olivera’s last moments with her father. Nikola herself was with Hezucki until the last moment. “I’m so glad for that, whatever that sounds like. It was a beautiful parting moment, sending his soul on its way, saying that he is and always will be infinitely loved.” she finished.
