Slovakia was hit by the news of the tragic death of Monika Jáklova († 31), former partner of MMA wrestler Gábor Boráros. The life of a young mother ended on Wednesday, January 21, in a car accident. Police officers from the Trnava region commented on the accident.

According to available information, the tragedy occurred in the section between the town of Veľký Meder and the village of Dolný Štál in the district of Dunajská Streda. The successful fitness model was supposed to lose control of the vehicle at a curve there, go off the road and hit the trees. The car was subsequently engulfed in flames, while the collision was caused by the high speed of the female driver. “The police, due to the continuing interest in the event that happened last Wednesday on the road between Dolný Stál and Veľký Meder, announce that intensively deals with the case from the first moment and solves it like a traffic accident,” the law enforcement officers announced on the social network.

They also revealed the current status of the investigation. “As part of the investigation into the tragic event in which a 31-year-old female driver lost her life, the traffic police have so far carried out a number of necessary actions and thus ensured enough evidence leading to the fact that they continue to investigate the event as a traffic accident. So far, no illegal action by another person has been detected in connection with the event,” warned.

Considering the tragic dimension of the event and the pain of those closest to them, the investigators turned to the general public with an urgent appeal. “We ask the public not to spread unverified and misleading information in the online space, as it complicates the investigation of this tragic traffic accident, and also to consider the bereaved family,” added.
