Motorcyclist Francinei Alves Tavares, 33 years old, was in a very serious condition after losing control of the motorcycle and colliding with the roundabout in the early hours of this Monday (26), on Avenida Sobral, in the Boa União neighborhood, in the Baixada da Sobral region, in Rio Branco.

According to information from witnesses, Francinei was drinking alcohol in the company of her stepdaughter’s boyfriend in a nearby bar. Then, Francinei decided to take the young man to his residence. The boy was riding a Fazer model motorcycle, while Francinei was traveling on a Biz model motorcycle, red in color and with license plate SHA-0I74. Upon entering the roundabout, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the curb. The helmet, which was not fastened, came off his head at the time of the fall.

Francinei suffered deep cuts on his face, a very serious traumatic brain injury (TBI), an open fracture in his left foot, as well as bleeding from both ears. The victim needed to be intubated while still at the scene due to the severity of the head injury.
People who were passing by the place, together with the stepdaughter’s boyfriend, provided help and called the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which sent an advanced support ambulance. After being immobilized and receiving initial care, Francinei was intubated and taken to the Rio Branco Emergency Room in a very serious condition.

The victim’s motorcycle, which was left lying on the roundabout, along with beer cans, bottles and personal belongings, was collected by family members and taken to the man’s residence.
The Traffic Police arrived at the scene, but the motorcycle had already been removed.
