Son of a Real Madrid idol, Enzo Alves will remain at the Real Madrid club and has taken an important step in his career. At 16 years old, the striker signed his first professional contract with Real Madrid, this Monday (26/1), at the club’s Training Center, in Valdebebas, Madrid.

In February last year, Marcelo’s son had renewed his contract in the Merengue club’s youth categories until 2027. Now, he signed his first contract as a professional. On social media, Enzo made a post alongside his family to celebrate the agreement.

He was accompanied by his father, former full-back Marcelo, his mother, Clarice, and his younger brother, Liam Alves, aged 11.

How does Enzo Alves, Marcelo’s son, play?

Enzo Alves carries a heavy surname, but he is already starting to build his own identity within Spanish football. Born in the Spanish capital, the young man has been a standout in Real Madrid’s youth teams since 2017. In Spain, he is seen as one of the great promises of the Merengue youth team and has even been called up for the Spanish under-17 team since he was 15 years old.

Unlike his father, who made his mark as a left-back, Enzo is a front man: he plays as a center forward and stands out for his offensive presence and eye for goal. On the field, Enzo acts as a modern “number 9”. He is physically strong for his age, protects the ball well and moves intelligently between defenders.

Another point that weighs in favor of Enzo Alves is his competitive maturity. This stance accelerated his development process within Real Madrid, which already uses him in categories above his age group.

In March last year, Enzo Alves, when he was still 15 years old, made his debut for the merengue team’s under-19 team, and in his first match, he contributed a beautiful assist, in the 37th minute of the second half, for the winning goal.

Enzo Alves surpassed the mark of 100 goals in Real Madrid’s youth categories throughout his training and has already worn the La Roja captain’s armband.
